Organized by: Puerto Ricans in Action

On Sunday, September 23rd, Southern Californians will join in a nationwide day of action in solidarity with Puerto Rico. We will let our Boricua brothers and sisters know that they have not been forgotten and that we demand that our elected officials in Washington pass legislation ASAP to provide for the humane, just and dignified recovery and rebuilding of the island. The US policies that abandoned the island throughout this disaster of unprecedented severity and scope do not represent the vast majority of us.

WE STAND WITH THE US CITIZENS OF PUERTO RICO!

We demand from our elected officials in Washington:

– A ´Marshall Plan´ for the rebuilding of Puerto Rico.
– Cancellation of Puerto Rico´s debt and PROMESA Act austerity measures.
– A permanent waiver of the Jones Act for Puerto Rico.
– Recognition of the right of Puerto Ricans to self-determination and an immediate start to the decolonization process.

More event details to follow. Stay tuned!
